On Friday, June 16th the American Thoracic Society (ATS) held a virtual roundtable discussion on “Adherence to Therapies and Devices.” This event was hosted by the ATS and is presented as part of the “Lung Disease Week at the ATS” initiative – a program designed to facilitate information exchange between patients and experts on matters relating to lung and airway disorders. This roundtable discussion was a collaborative effort between the ATS and patient advocacy partners the COPD Foundation (COPDF) and Alliance of Sleep Apnea Partners (ASAP).
Featured panelists are respiratory therapist Michael W. Hess MPH, RRT, RPFT, Senior Director of Public Outreach and Education at the COPD Foundation and Sanjay Patel MD, MS, Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Other discussants were Kristin Willard, Executive VP of Public and Professional Education at the COPD Foundation, and Kathy Page, board vice chair for the Alliance of Sleep Apnea Partners.
