Dr. Young is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Medicine, and Cell and Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia and then attended medical school and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Duke University. She completed combined fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology and Adult Pulmonary Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati in 2005, and then joined the faculty, establishing a pediatric Rare Lung Diseases program. In 2011 Dr. Young joined the faculty at Vanderbilt, where she directs the nationally recognized Rare Lung Diseases Clinic for children and adults with a variety of disorders, including childhood interstitial lung disease (chILD), LAM and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).
