Greg Elliott, MD

Dr. Elliott is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Attending Physician-in-Chief at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray,
Utah.

Dr. Elliott's work is focused on pulmonary hypertension (PH), and he has played an integral role in the recent history of the disease through his contributions to scientific research, fostering of patient-physician partnerships and education of physicians, students, patients and families. He has made immense strides in the scientific knowledge of PH by beginning to uncover a genetic basis of the disease, as well as pioneering resources for future researchers such as the National PAH Biobank and the REVEAL Registry.

Beyond his scientific achievements, Dr. Elliott is admired and revered by his peers. He has served on Pulmonary Hypertension Association's (PHA) board of trustees since 2007, and insisted that the language used in educational materials be simplified so that it would be more accessible to patients and caregivers. His passion for patients is evident as he continually goes above and beyond to answer questions and provide education for all, even patients that are not his, when interacting with them at conferences, on webinars and in the community.
