On Thurs, March 24th we held a virtual roundtable discussion entitled “Lack of Disease Recognition in Rare Genetic Airway Diseases: Finding Zebras of ALL Stripes.” This event was hosted by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) was presented as part of the “Lung Disease Week at the ATS” initiative – a program designed to facilitate information exchange between patients and experts on matters relating to lung and airway disorders. This roundtable discussion was a collaborative effort between the ATS Public Advisory Roundtable (PAR), the PCD Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute.

The panel included experts Shailendra Das, DO of Texas Children's Hospital and Jennifer Taylor-Cousar, MD, MSc, ATSF of National Jewish Health. Other discussants were Michele Manion, Executive Director of the PCD Foundation, and Siri Vaeth, Executive Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute.
