2021 Grover Conference Call for Topics

The Grover Conference Planning Committee is now inviting proposals for the 20th Grover Conference, to be held in September 2021. Proposed topics should fall within the overall objectives of the Grover conference (e.g. the pathophysiology of pulmonary vascular disease and pulmonary hypertension, its treatment and/or sequelae).

To submit a proposal click here to download the 2021 Call for topics form. Topic proposals should be sent to the PC mailbox at: PC@thoracic.org by Wednesday, March 25th, 2020.

A decision on which proposal to take forward will be made by the Grover Conference and PC Planning Committees of the ATS by the end of April. It is expected that the selected conference organizers will present to a joint session of the committees at the ATS International Conference in May. Note that in previous years those proposals that were most complete, with the majority of suggested topics and speakers already identified, were the ones most likely to be selected.

Further information can be obtained from Miriam Rodriguez of the ATS (mrodriguez@thoracic.org) as well as the PC Assembly Chair, Anna Hemnes, MD, ATSF (anna.r.hemnes@vumc.org) and the PC Planning Committee Chair, Elizabeth O. Harrington, PhD (elizabeth_harrington@brown.edu).

About the Conference

The Grover Conference, which is held on a biennial basis, is the only international meeting in North America that repeatedly focuses on subjects relevant to lung vascular biology and medicine. Initiated in 1984 and named in honor of Robert Grover, the Conference is held in a secluded, rural setting in the Rocky Mountains. The participation of young scientists is particularly encouraged. The setting has been proven many times to be an excellent meeting that has led to fruitful collaborations between investigators young and old and often in different fields. You are encouraged to participate in future Grover Conferences by coming to the meetings as well as by taking part in the planning and development of new subjects. More information can be obtained from the PC Assembly Chair.
