Tidal Volume is a new podcast from ATS Peds focusing on core concepts of pediatric pulmonology. The goal is to bring in depth focus on these core concepts for residents, fellows, early career pulmonologists or even senior faculty looking for a refresher.
In episode 4, Ryan Thomas MD from Michigan State University discusses pulmonary hypertension in children with Dr. Amy DiMarino from Case Western Reserve University. We start with the basics of the different types of pulmonary hypertension in children. We also discuss potential signs and symptoms of, risk factors and causes of pulmonary hypertension. We discuss the importance of early recognition, treatment options and outcomes in children.
